Why Does Amar Lipi Exist?

I never liked the way Bangla looked in browsers — the system fonts on Windows and macOS felt clunky and outdated. I wanted a cleaner font for Bangla web content, but every solution I tried also messed up the English text. Amar Lipi was my fix: it changes only the Bangla font — nothing else.

Where Does It Work?

Amar Lipi works on all websites in any Chromium-based browser: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, etc.

Can I choose which Bangla font to use?

Yes! Amar Lipi lets you choose from a selection of Bangla fonts available on Google Fonts. Currently supported fonts: Noto Sans Bengali, Noto Serif Bengali, Atma, Anek Bangla, Baloo Da 2, Hind Siliguri, Mina, and Tiro Bangla.

If you’ve applied the font somewhere by mistake or just want to undo it: Click the Amar Lipi extension icon » To reset the current website, click “Reset This Site”. To remove the font from all sites, click “Reset All Sites”.
